FAQs
Congratulations on your growing family! We know how precious these early moments are, and we’re so excited to help you capture your newborn’s first memories. All the info you need to help prepare you for your baby's session is in the question and answer section below.
When is the perfect time to capture my newborn baby's first photos?
The ideal time to photograph your newborn is between 5 and 21 days old, when babies are often sleepiest and easiest to pose. We can still create beautiful images at any age, though your baby might be more alert or require more breaks for feeding. We understand that every family’s schedule is unique, so if that timeframe doesn’t quite work for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch—we’re always happy to answer any questions and help find the best fit for you and your little one!
What should I bring to the session?
If bottle feeding, plenty of formula is always a great idea. Extra diapers and a pacifier if your baby takes one are also must haves.
What time of day is best for the photos?

Morning sessions are usually best. Babies tend to be more settled, and the natural light is softer.
Why is it important to schedule my baby's photo session while they're still so young?
There's actually a few reasons why:

Sleepy and flexible: Newborns are still very sleepy and easy to pose.

Curled-up poses: They still naturally curl up like they did in the womb, which is super cute and ideal for those classic newborn shots.

Less baby acne or colic: Around 2–3 weeks, some babies start to develop baby acne or become fussier, which can make photo sessions trickier.

What should I do to prepare for the newborn session?

Here are a few tips to ensure a smooth session:

Feeding: Try to feed your baby right before the session to ensure they’re sleepy and content. You can feed your baby at home before you leave for the session or feel free to feed the baby when you arrive.

Clothing: Keep your baby in a loose diaper before the shoot to avoid marks on their skin.

Room Temperature: We keep the studio warm to help your baby feel cozy, as they’re often in minimal clothing. It’s a good idea to dress in layers just in case it gets too warm for you.

Patience: Newborn sessions can take time, so feel free to relax, enjoy the moment, and trust that we’re here to guide you through every step.
